COURSE OVERVIEW:-

This Android course is designed to introduce and familiarize participants with programming in the Android environment. It starts with an examination of the core Java components and concepts that define the Android platform, and then moves on to cover the specific structure that comprises an Android application. The unique characteristics of programming in the mobile environment are introduced and explained.   • Setting up development environment (Android Studio)
  • Dalvik Virtual Machine / ART & APK packaging
  • Basic Building blocks - Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers & Content Providers
  • UI Components - Views, ViewGroups & Notifications
  • Communication Components - Intents & Intent Filters
  • Android API levels and version history

Chapter 4: Application Structure & Lifecycle

  • AndroidManifest.xml permissions & SDK configuration
  • Resources, R.java, Assets, and Drawables
  • Layouts: LinearLayout, RelativeLayout, ConstraintLayout

  • Building your first sample Android application
